There's no job security for longtime city officials in the Ron Littlefield administration.
They all have to resign by Friday. If they want to stay on, they must reapply with the new Andy Berke administration.
Mr. Berke, who takes office in a couple of weeks, earlier announced Wade Hinton and Travis McDonough are leading his transition team. Mr. McDonough will also be chief of staff - a post that Dan Johnson held under Mayor Littlefield.
Also on the team are Al Chapman, Stefanie Crowe, Stephen Culp, Kimberly Gavin, Pastor Ternae Jordan, Alison Levovitz, Bill McDonald, Bart Quinn, Chantelle Roberson, Donna Roddy and Donna Williams.
The transition team "will focus on identifying candidates for key positions in city government, reviewing operations of city departments and funded organizations and participating in a public engagement process to get public input on the citiy's priorities."
City Attorney Mike McMahan said he wants to be part of the new administration.
So do Finance Director Daisy Madison and Parks and Recreation Director Larry Zehnder.
Randy Parker said he is eligible for retirement, but he would like to continue as fire chief.
Public Works Administrator Steve Leach had no comment.
Other posts up for grabs include Police Chief, Education, Arts and Culture administrator, General Services administrator, Human Services administrator, Multicultural Affairs administrator and Personnel administrator. Bobby Dodd, Missy Crutchfield, Danny Thornton, Ron Swafford, Beverly Cosley, Beverly Johnson and Susan Dubose could not immediately be reached.
