Chattanooga Tea Party IRS Protest Rally To Be Held Tuesday

  • Monday, May 20, 2013

The Chattanooga Tea Party is holding a protest rally at the offices of the Internal Revenue Service at 5740 Uptain Road, (next to the Eastgate Shopping Center) "In response to the acknowledgement by the Internal Revenue Service that it has targeted American citizens based on their political and religious beliefs."  The peaceful rally will be Tuesday from noon-1 p.m.

"Our Constitution acknowledges the right of the people to free speech and religious liberty, yet the IRS’ behavior over the last several years reveals a bureaucracy and government that has sought to harass peaceful, law abiding U.S.

citizens and rob them of these rights” said Mark West, president of the Chattanooga Tea Party.

He continued, “It is critical that Americans of all political persuasions come together to denounce such action and to demand that those responsible for this behavior be held accountable.  No American is secure as long as one American is targeted.”
