After losing two straight at Jackson, Chattanooga bounced back with a 6-1 win over the Generals in a matinee game.

Ross Stripling went 5 2/3 innings yielding a single run on four hits; he walked none and fanned four. Stripling gave up a fourth inning solo home run to Julio Morban.

The Lookouts jumped all over starting pitcher Anthony Fernandez with a three-run first inning outburst. With Rafael Ynoa aboard on a lead-off single, a line-out to left by Miguel Rojas, Joc Pederson doubled high off the left field wall plating Ynoa with the first run. Brian Cavozos-Galvez knocked in Pederson with a single to center.  Galvez went to third on a fielding error by center fielder James Jones and scored on Blake Smith's ground out to first.

Chattanooga added another three runs in the fifth inning. Angelo Songco reached on a one-out double and raced home on Ynoa's double. Rojas followed with his third homer of the year -- a two-run shot over the left field wall.

Kyle Cofield threw 1 1/3 scoreless innings. Closer Yimi Garcia gave up two hurts but no runs over the final two innings. He struck out four.

Following a day off Wednesday, Chattanooga hits the road again for five games at Huntsville to close the first half of Southern League play.
