Willie Mae King Collins, 90, of South Pittsburg, TN, died Monday, June 3, 2013 at her home following a brief illness.
The daughter of the late Charles Thomas and Julia Frances Caldwell King, she was a former employee of TVA, Judge A.F. Sloan, South Pittsburg Elementary School and First Bank of Marion County. She was a longtime member of First Baptist Church in South Pittsburg where she studied with the Fidelis/Dorcas Sunday School Class and was a former Sunday School teacher.
She was preceded in death by her grandson, Zach Henderson; brothers, James, Thomas, Crawford and Walter "Buddy" King; and sisters, Martha Durham and Edna Ruth Kennemore.
She is survived by her daughters, Frances (Peter) Gebs of Chesterfield, VA and Pat (Johnny) Henderson of South Pittsburg, TN; brothers, George (Doris) King of New Hope and Gerald (Carolyn) King of Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Harrison Gebs of Colorado, Chelsea Gebs of Richmond, VA and Brad Henderson of Marietta, GA; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be conducted from the South Pittsburg Chapel of Rogers Funeral Home at 3 p.m. Central time on Saturday, June 8, with Rev. Brad Bridgman officiating. Interment will be in New Hope Cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, June 8 from 2-3 p.m. at the Rogers Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
