Curtis Ward Crowder, 79, of Chattanooga, died on Wednesday, June 5, 2013. 

He was a member of Red Bank Church of Christ and a hairdresser in the Chattanooga area for over 50 years. He worked with Inner City Ministry and World Bible School.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 43 years, Arlene Crowder; sister, Margie Longacre; parents, Eldon Crowder and Mary Crowder.

Survivors include his children, Tammie Crowder of Lakesite, Lina (Daryl) Arendale of Hixson and Mark (Debbie) Crowder of Hixson; eight grandchildren, Zac Crowder, Colby and Carrie Arendale, Caroline Crowder, Kim McNabb, Kristy Wilson, Kelly Finnell, and Karrie Harness and 11 great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Thursday, June 13, in the funeral home chapel at 4 p.m.

Visitation will be from 2-4 p.m. prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Inner City Ministry in care of Red Bank Church of Christ, 3600 Dayton Blvd, Chattanooga, Tn. 37415.
