Tom and Pat Cory will present a program called “Fall Color and Beyond at the Thursday Chattanooga Photographic Society meeting.
Mr. and Ms. Cory have been involved in photography for many years. Working as a husband/wife team they conduct a number of photography workshops locally, nationally and internationally each year.
Mr. Cory has his fine art prints in various exhibits around Chattanooga. Their work has been published in a number of calendars and publications such as Outdoor Photographer, Nature Photographer, Nature's Best, Delta's Sky Magazine, and Blue Ridge Country. While they have focused on nature and travel photography, Mr. Cory also works with environmental portraiture.
Ms. Cory specializes in video and has released two videos. The most recent is Visions of Nature which is available on DVD and VHS. She also produced the Story of Dream, a video on the building of the Coolidge Park Carousel in Chattanooga.
They have published three books, Scenic Chattanooga and Beyond, a guide to natural areas within 75 miles of Chattanooga, the 7th edition of their popular instructional book, Notes from the Field, and newly published Gently Touch the Earth, a mixture of some of their favorite images and quotations, available through Blurb.com.
Besides his work as a photographer, Mr. Cory is also a clinical psychologist with a part-time practice. Ms. Cory retired from being an information systems manager several years ago and works full time with their photography business.
