HBA Home And Remodeling Expo Is Sept. 14 And 15

The HBA Home and Remodeling Expo will be Saturday, Sept. 14, from 10 a.m.-7 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 15, from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. at the Chattanooga Trade and Convention Center.

Cost is $6 for admission, with $1 off admission when you bring a can good to benefit the Tennessee Baptist Children’s Home. Children 16 and under are free.

The expo will be featuring products and services for new home construction, fall fix-ups, whole house renovations, landscaping and gardening, interior design and holiday decorating.

There will be appearances by HGTV's Eric Stromer at 10:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m.

Pool Chemical Leak Forces Evacuation Of Sports Barn North

Chattanooga firefighters responded to a reported haz-mat incident at the Sports Barn North on Hamil Road at  6:37  a.m. on Friday. Battalion Chief Carlos Hampton said an employee was working with some pool chemicals when some of the liquid leaked out of a container.
