Margaret Housley
Margaret Ann Housley, 61, died on Friday, August 16, 2013 at Life Care of East Ridge while battling cancer.
She was born on April 6, 1952, in Galesburg, MI. She graduated from Galesburg/Augusta High School in 1970 and from Tennessee Temple University in 1974 with a BS degree. She also sang with the concert choir. She later earned her certification in NILD.
Margaret’s battle with cancer was long and courageous with many obstacles. Her faith in God was an inspiration to all that knew her. Margaret loved the Lord and wanted to serve him daily. She found many outlets to praise and glorify him on a daily basis. She loved teaching and taught school at Unity, Hamill Road, Berean and Calvary Independent Baptist Church/Schools, where she also was principal and went to church. Margaret volunteered with several activities for church and school.
Margaret loved to travel. She had been to all states except Alaska and traveled to Europe twice. She loved to cross stitch, do ceramics and scrapbooking.
Margaret was predeceased by her parents, Lowell and Esther Lancaster; and father-in-law, Clyde F. Housley.
Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Sonny Housley; son, John (Carolyn) Housley; mother-in-law, Daisy Housley; sisters: Lois (Bill) Wolthuis, Linda (Jim) DePue, Ethel Loveland; sister-in-law, Judy (Gary) Franks; and a large extended family.

Funeral services are at 1 p.m. on Monday, Aug. 19, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Pastor Clifton Roth officiating. Interment will follow in Hamilton Memorial Gardens.
Visitation is from 5-8 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 17, and 2-8 p.m. on Sunday at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace, 877-3524.
