County Holds Off On $218,000 Expense At Middle Valley Recreation Facility

  • Wednesday, August 7, 2013

County Commission members decided on Wednesday to hold off on spending $218,000 at the Middle Valley Recreation Center.

Officials agreed that a concessions/public restroom and meeting/storage building are badly needed.

However, commission members said they did not want to take the funds from the general fund or the rainy day fund.

Commissioner Fred Skillern said when the county's $90 million line of credit is set up for such projects, the project may be revived then.
