Bradley County Again Has Full Animal Pickup Services

  • Wednesday, September 11, 2013

The Bradley County Commission, at a special meeting on Tuesday night, voted to pay Cleveland Animal Services $120,000 under a six-month contract to pick up stray animals out in the county.

The Cleveland City Council had offered either a three-month contract at $25,000 per month or the six-month option.

At the same time, Bradley County is accepting applications from private groups willing to set up a shelter.

County Mayor Gary Davis said at least two groups have viable plans.

The proposals are due on Thursday.
