Wanda Faye Gates, 70, of Cleveland, TN, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2013, at her home. She was a member of Sunrise Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon Gates; parents, Hardin and Ethel Parris Visage; daughter, Teresa Gates Yarberry; and brothers, Don Parris and Junior Morgan.
She is survived by two sons, Michael Gates and wife Sharon of Cleveland and Rick Gates and wife Michelle of Fort Worth, TX; seven grandchildren, Amber Gates, Rachael Gates, Tia Gates, Jay Gates, Megan Gates, April Yarberry and Robert Yarberry; one great-granddaughter, Jazalynn Gates; one brother, Larry Visage and wife Kris of Cleveland; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday, October 1, at 7 p.m. in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home with Reverend Rick Gates and Pastor Benny Watson officiating.
A concluding service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday, October 2 in Hilcrest Memorial Gardens concluding with a white dove release ceremony.
Her family will receive friends from 4 – 7 p.m. Tuesday, October 1 at the Ralph Buckner Funeral Home who has charge of the arrangements.
