Roadrunner Competition Cheer To Challenge In Atlanta

The first year Dalton State competition cheer squad will be in Atlanta Saturday to compete for the Cheersport Atlanta Grand Championship at the Georgia World Congress Center, adjacent to the Georgia Dome.

Roadrunner Cheer Coach Robyn Newell says the team will perform a brief routine at 2:56 p.m.

Participating members of the Dalton State cheer squad include Emily Ayers of Sonoraville High (Calhoun), Mariel Broadrick of Dalton High, Jordan Collins of North Murray High, Arika Culp of Gordon Lee High (Chickamauga), Austin Culp of Gordon Lee High, and Katie Goolsby of Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe High, Rachel Lockhart of Armurchee High, Xavier Martin and Maci Price of Chattooga High (Summerville), Manuel Montelongo of Southeast Whitfield High, Kayla Webb and Austin West of Murray County High, Krista Skiffen of Northwest Whitfield, and manager Jordan Sattler.
