Attorneys Rex Sparks and Larry Ables have picked up papers to challenge two incumbent General Sessions Court judges.
Attorney Sparks is running against Christie Mahn Sell in Division 1 and attorney Ables is going against David Bales in Division 2.
Incumbents Clarence Shattuck, Lila Statom and Gary Starnes do not have opponents thus far.
Mark Rothberger, incumbent Signal Mountain judge, and John Higgason Jr., the Lookout Mountain judge, have picked up.
Ryan Hanzelik is the only one to pick up thus far for judge of East Ridge.
There are six potential contenders for the District 5 County School Board seat being vacated by Jeffrey Wilson. They are Richard Bennett, Patrick Hampton, Karitsa Mosley, Lynn Smith, Jacqueline A. Thomas and Cynthia Stanley-Cash.
Semevelyn Rock, a former president of the Hamilton County Education Association, has picked up for District 8 County School Board.
Rep. Gerald McCormick has picked up for House District 26 and Rep. JoAnne Favors for House District 28.l
The primary election for these races will be in August.
