Ivan Ray Johnson, 70, of Pikeville, TN, died on Monday, September 29, 2014.

He was a member of the Cupbearer Ministry. He also enjoyed camping, meeting with the guys at Pailo Market, and spending time with his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ivan L. "Doc" and Cecil Johnson.

Ivan is survived by his best friend and wife of 48 years, Idell Hankins Johnson; daughter, Lynn (Ernest) Stephens; son, Steven Ray Johnson and special friend Shauna Hobbs, all of Dunlap; daughter Stacie (Jimmy) Smith, Pikeville; six grandchildren, Brandon, Michaela, Lacey, and Maggie Johnson, Jason (Rhonda) Smith and Ashley Smith; three great-grandchildren, Caleb, Kimber Smith and Paden Argo; three sisters, Alma (Billy Joe) Smith), Dunlap; Billie (Randall) Bryant and Rita (Israel) Spaulding, both of Naples, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be Friday, October 3 at 2 p.m. CDT in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Michael Schrum and Bishop Rita Partin officiating. Burial will be in Collier Cemetery.

Arrangements are by Putnam-Reed Funeral Home, Hwy 127 South, Pikeville, where the family will receive friends Thursday, October 2 from 9 a.m.-9 p.m. and Friday, October 3 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. CDT.
