  • Monday, October 13, 2014

Former President Jimmy Carter will be joining wife Rosalyn Carter in Chattanooga Saturday at a  fundraiser for their grandson, Georgia gubernatorial candidate Jason Carter.

Stuart James noted that in 1974, "then-Presidential hopeful Jimmy Carter was the speaker at our first Kefauver Dinner."

Following the fundraiser for Jason Carter, Former President and Mrs.

Carter will greet those attending the 40th Annual Kefauver Dinner prior to the start of the program at 6 p.m

The event is at the Convention Center, Room 12, for the reception with the Kefauver Dinner to follow.

The former Georgia governor recently turned 90, but maintains a busy schedule.

Mr. James said, "There will be an opportunity to have your photo taken with President and Mrs. Carter at the $200 per person fundraiser for their grandson.  While there will not be an opportunity for individual photos with the Carters at the Kefauver event, photographer Tracy Knaus will be taking photos and posting them on the HCDP website."
