Thelma Aileen Lee, 90, of Dalton, GA, died on Wednesday, October 15, 2014 at Hamilton Medical Center.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Douglas Lee; parents, Bryan & Alma Bass; and five brothers.
Mrs. Lee was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church. She was also a life member of the ladies auxiliary of the VFW post 4985 where she served as chaplain for many years.
She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Patricia & Larry Stewart and Sherry & Steve Cantrell, all of Dalton; sons and daughters-in-law, Billy & Jan Lee of Dalton and Larry & Delilah Lee of Resaca; grandchildren, Tracy & Ryan Webb, Billy & Jenerfier Pritchett, Wendy & Jerry Don Martin, Aaron Lee, Sam & Shauna Sanders, Ryan & Danielle Sanford, Jeremy & Gwen Harden and Shana & Jimmy Grisham; 18 great-grandchildren; nephew & wife, William & Marjorie Bass of Nashville; and other nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held Sunday, October 19, at 3 p.m. at Macedonia Baptist Church with Rev. Jimmy Dixon and Rev. Barry Crocker officiating. Burial will be in Whitfield Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at the Pleasant Grove Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home Saturday, October 18 from 5-8 p.m.
