Police said fingerprints lifted from a bathroom window tied Ladarius Tramell Taylor to a home break-in in which $7,000 in cash and other valuables were taken.

Taylor, 25, was charged with aggravated burglary and theft over $10,000.

The arrest came after County Detective Jeff Baker met with the homeowners on Niles Terrace to follow up for any new information on an earlier burglary.

He was told that someone apparently cut the screen to the back porch door and then raised the window to the bathroom.

The inside of the residence was ransacked.

Detective Baker said two fingerprints taken from the scene matched known prints of Taylor.

Also, the detective was told by a neighbor that at the time of the break-in he saw a black Chevrolet Caprice with tinted windows near the residence that was burglarized. He said two black males were standing outside. He estimated they were in their early to mid-20s and weighed from 150-160 pounds.

Taylor was arrested at his mother's house on Stratton Place Drive in December 2008 on a home invasion. Police found Taylor hiding inside a dryer and arrested him for the home invasion at 4417 Oakwood Dr.

Police said Taylor on Nov. 30, 2008,  along with Terrance Rucker and MarShawn Harris, forced entry at the Oakwood Drive residence and pistol whipped one of the occupants. During the incident, Taylor fired at a victim but missed him when the victim jumped behind some furniture.

Two of the three men were stopped by a patrol officer as they fled the scene. Taylor, however, ran from the home in an opposite direction.

Taylor pleaded guilty to aggravated robbery in 2010 and got a seven-year prison sentence, but police said he was out in time to commit the burglary.
