Willis Fred Monk Sr., 69, of Old Fort, TN, passed away Friday, October 24, 2014 at the family residence.

Mr. Monk was the son of the late Fred and Mary Ella Monk. He was a United States veteran serving in the Navy. Mr. Monk’s lifetime passions were Amateur Radio, Gardening, Stamp collecting,“Anything” Texas and the Navy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Susan Monk of Old Fort; son, Willis Fred Monk Jr. and his wife Tina of Phoenix AZ; daughterm Lorissa J. Monk of Cleveland; grandchildren, Bianca Hutton, Chase Monk, Nobel Monk, Amber Monk and Chole Chamberlain; his brother, Richard Monk and his wife Evelyn ofTexas; his sister, Judy Reaves and her husband Earl of Cleveland; and nieces and nephews.

A Remembrance of Life graveside service will be held at 4:30 p.m. Monday, November 3 in the Veterans section of the Fort Hill Cemetery with military honors. Pastor Richard Barr will be officiating.

The family will receive friends Monday November 3, from 2-4 p.m. in the fellowship hall of Bowman Hills Seventh Day Adventist Church.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the family to help with medical expenses.

The Wildwood Chapel of the Jim Rush Funeral Homes has charge of the arrangements.
