2 Students Arrested At Bradley County High School After Routine Drug Search

A routine drug search was conducted Friday at Bradley Central High School. The search was coordinated by Lieutenant Julie Quinn of the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department. Assistance was provided by the McMinn County Sheriff’s Department and the 10th Judicial Drug Task Force. Five canines were used in the search. 

“I appreciate the cooperation from Sheriff Watson and the support of his department,” said Johnny McDaniel, director of Bradley County Schools. 

Two students were arrested for possession of a small amount of marijuana. They were taken into custody by the Bradley County Sheriff’s Department. Additionally, one citation was issued for possession of tobacco and one citation was issued for possession of paraphernalia.

“The administration at Bradley Central High School would like to thank the agencies for their cooperation and professionalism in this exercise,” stated Principal Todd Shoemaker.

“These searches are a commitment by Bradley County Schools to provide a safe learning environment for all our students,” said Director McDaniel.
