Moorehead, Peggy Styles (Summerville)

Peggy Styles Moorehead, 81, of Summerville, GA, passed away Sunday, November 23, 2014 in a Rome hospital.

A native of Farner, TN, Mrs. Morehead was born to the late Robert and Mamie Bigham Styles on April 7, 1933. She was graduated from Vanderbilt University Peabody College, her Masters Degree from the University of Tennessee Chattanooga, and Six Year Certificate from the University of Arizona. Mrs. Morehead served in the Chattooga School System for thirty years and was School Psychologist. She was a charter member of Horizon Baptist Church and Church Pianist for 18 years.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her sisters, Jewell Hardeman and Mildred Pettett; and brothers, Robert Styles and Clarence Styles.

Surviving are her husband, O. G. Morehead, Jr.; daughters, Melanie Eubanks and Rosemary Rush both of Summerville; sisters, Regina Noble of Columbia, S.C., Betty Ferrell of Ashville, N.C., Marlyn Meredith of Summerville and Annette Woodard of Trion; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorial Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 29 at 2 p.m. from the Horizon Baptist Fellowship with Dr. John Wyatt officiating.

The Family will receive friends at the Church one hour prior to the service on Saturday, November 29.
