The Chattanooga Police Department responded to a burglary at 5741 Bobby Dale Lane on Wednesday.
Ms. Kari Dedmon said she had woken up and was getting ready for work, when she heard a noise downstairs. She retrieved her pistol and went to see what was causing the noise. When she reached the top of the steps, she saw two white men in her home, one standing inside her house at the front door, and another running out the door. She fired five or six shots at the suspects, striking the passenger side mirror of the vehicle as it sped away.
Both suspects have been located and are in custody.
Jeremy Lee Goins, 26, was found to be suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and was taken to a local hospital for treatment before booking.
The other suspect was Brian Keith Jackson, 20.
