"Shop With A Cop" Held

  • Saturday, December 6, 2014

For more than 20 years, the “Shop with a Cop” initiative has provided Christmas presents to disadvantaged children in the community who would not otherwise receive gifts this holiday season.

This year's event was on Saturday at the Toys-R-Us on Highway 153 in Hixson. Over 90 kids participated and were able to purchase $125 worth of toys each.

The event is organized by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Rock City Lodge #22. The children participating were nominated by Child Protective Services (CPS) or police officers. Presents are purchased and paid for by the Fraternal Order of Police (FOP) Rock City Lodge #22

The Fraternal Order of Police Rock City Lodge #22, Chattanooga Police Department officers, Chief of Police Fred Fletcher, and other local law enforcement participated.
