Husband Of Murdered Patty Striker Shoots Their Teenage Children, Then Turns Gun On Himself; Children Survive

The husband of a McMinn County woman who died mysteriously 14 years ago shot the couple's two teenage children and then turned the gun on himself on Wednesday.

Stan Striker took his own life at the site of the family winery where his wife,  Patty Striker, was killed.

The 16-year-old boy and 17-year-old girl are recovering in the hospital.

Patty Striker, 35, was killed April 10, 2000.

Family members have been trying to determine ever since what happened.

The winery burned in 2012. The cause of that fire is also undetermined.

Police said Striker drove the two children to the site early Wednesday.
