Boyd's Speedway Has 2-Night Kick-Off Opening Races

It is opening weekend for the Boyd's Speedway and the 1/3 mile clay banked dirt track will open its gates two nights this weekend.

The Tennessee/Georgia track that sits on the state line near I-75 at the East Ridge/Chattanooga exit will open for practice Friday between 6-9PM EST, to allow teams to shake down their race cars before Saturday nights races.

Dirt Late Models will be derived of two divisions: Steel-head and Crate's, with action also stemming from A & B-Hobby's and Front Wheel Drive divisions.

Gates will open Saturday at 4PM EST, with Hot Laps beginning at 6:30 p.m.. Admission is just $10 for adults in the grandstands and kids aged 7-12 are only $5. Pit Passes are $25 on Saturday evening.

Practice is open the to general public with no admission in the grandstands on Friday.

In two weeks the track will host the annual ShamRock Southern All-Star series race for the first time in its 62-year history.
