The Covenant men's golf team wrapped up the Wynlakes Intercollegiate Invitational on Tuesday by placing sixth, out of 10, at Wynlakes Golf & Country Club in Montgomery.
Covenant shot a 326 on Tuesday to finish in a tie for sixth with Berry. The Scots scored a 636 for the tournament. Wittenberg was the top team in the field as they finished with a 592. Cory Howard of LaGrange was the medalist as he shot a 73 in the final round for a two-day total of 145.
Cameron Lewis was the top individual finisher for Covenant with a two-day score of 157 after he carded an 84 in the final round. Lewis finished in a tie for 18th individually. Scott McKnight had the best second round performance for the Scots with a 79 and finished with a 158.
James Van Nice had an 81 in the final round, while Nate Haney and Alan Craig posted an 82 and an 89, respectively. Nick Blauw, playing as an individual, had an 86 in the final round.
Covenant will next play in the George H. Bedwell Memorial Invite in Rome, Ga., on April 14-15.
