Patsy Hazlewood Is Late Entry For House District 27

The race to replace House District 27 Rep. Richard Floyd is hotly contested, including the last-minute entry of Patsy Hazlewood.

But there is no opposition for other members of the local legislative delegation.

Unopposed are Sen. Bo Watson, House Majority Leader Gerald McCormick in House District 26, and Rep. JoAnne Favors for House District 28 and Mike Carter for House District 29.

Marc Gravitt, East Ridge commissioner, was the only applicant to replace Vince Dean in House District 31. Rep. Dean is running for Criminal Court clerk.

Running on the Republican ticket for House District 27, in addition to Ms. Hazlewood, will be former Election Commissioner Tommy Crangle, bonding official Charles White and former school official Tom McCullough.   

Eric McRoy is running as a Democrat.
