McCallie split matches with Kentucky schools the past two days in preparation for the 58th Chattanooga Rotary Tennis Tournament.
In matches played at McCallie, the Blue Tornado (3-1) defeated McCracken, 6-1, Wednesday and lost to St. Xavier, 6-1, today.
Chattanooga Rotary: Defending champion St. Xavier and McCallie will compete in the Rotary A Division, while McCracken is in the B Division ..
The First One: The Rotary started in 1957 as McCallie won the inaugural event in the prep division, while Meridian, Miss. won the high school division ... McCallie's Hugh O. Maclellan won singles and doubles (w/Charlie Moore) prep division titles ... Maclellan's granddaughter, Hannah Maclellan, is at Harpeth Hall and will play singles and doubles in the Girls A Division this weekend.

St. Xavier rallied to win at Nos.1 and 2 doubles and won a three setter at No.2 singles in a well played prep tennis match Thursday. Luke Orthner had the singles win for McCallie.
Notes: St. Xavier is five-time defending Kentucky state champion ... is defending Rotary A Division champions ... finished second last weekend at the prestigious DecoTurf tennis tourney in Ky.
