TWRA Requests Public Input For 2015 Fishing Regulations

The Tennessee Wildlife Resources Agency is welcoming comments for its 2015 fishing regulations. This is an opportunity for the public to share ideas and concerns about fishing regulations with TWRA staff.

Public comments will be considered by fisheries managers and may be presented as proposals for regulation changes. Comments may be submitted by mail to: Fish Comments, TWRA, Fisheries Management Division, P.O. 40747, Nashville, Tn. 37204 or emailed to Include “Fish Comments” on the subject line of emailed submissions.

The fishing regulations are usually set each year during the October meeting by the Tennessee Fish and Wildlife Commission.

This comment period concerning fishing regulations will be open until May 6.

Southern Environmental Law Center Files Lawsuit Against Forest Service

Str8 Shooters Participate In TNSCTP Iron Man Competition Over The Weekend

The Str8 Shooters Clay Team started their season by participating in the TNSCTP Iron Man Competition in Nashville this past weekend. The Iron Man Competition focuses on testing their skills in skeet, sporting clays and trap against those in different age brackets and skill levels. Young Boy Struck By Car On South Beech Street; Hit And Run Driver Sought

A young boy was hit by a car on South Beech Street on Saturday. He was taken to the hospital, where he was listed in stable condition. Police said the car left the scene. Officers were looking for two men in a red or orange Dodge Challenger. (click for more)

Clark D. Nolan, Accused Of Imprisoning And Assaulting Wife, Found Competent To Stand Trial

A Graysville, Tn., man who allegedly strangled, assaulted and threatened to kill his wife while holding her prisoner in their home is competent to stand trial, according to two forensic evaluators.
