Middle Valley Church Of God Invites All To Join Their Services This Week

Middle Valley Church of God, located at 1703 Thrasher Pike in Hixson, announces that Pastor Mitch McClure will speak on the topic, "Jesus Had Been In Jerusalem Before" in the 10:30 a.m. service on Sunday.  This will be a continuation of the sermon series called 'Why Do We Need The Cross?'  This series deals with the chain of events that leads up to the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
 
Pastor McClure will lead the congregation in a time of prayer and Bible reading in the 6:30 p.
m. service on Sunday.  The congregation is participating in the READ Initiative of the Church of God in 2014 which includes reading through the Bible entirely in 2014. 
 
Each Wednesday at 7 p.m. classes are made available for all age groups.  At the present time, Senior Adult Pastor Craig Paul is teaching a Bible study on 1 John.  The community is invited to participate in all services.. 

St. Timothy's Holds Jazz Vespers Jan. 29

The tenth annual Jazz Vespers service will be held on Sunday, Jan. 29, at 5 p.m.  All are welcome to attend this service.  There is no admission charge, but a freewill offering will be accepted, with all gifts going to support the Jazz program.  A reception will follow Vespers in the Parish Hall. Chattanooga Police To Add 14 Officers After Violent Weekend; New System To Allow Local Testing Of Shell Casings

Cleveland Mother And Father Indicted After 2-Month Old Tests Positive For Meth; Has Multiple Injuries

The father and mother of a two-month-old in Cleveland have been indicted for child abuse after the baby tested positive for meth and had multiple injuries.
