Flash Flood Watch In Effect For Chattanooga Through Thursday Afternoon As Strong Thunderstorms, Possible Hail Expected

A flash food watch is in effect for Chattanooga through Thursday afternoon.

Heavy rain was predicted to begin later Wednesday.

Officials said a slow-moving cold front will approach the Southern Appalachian Region late today and trigger scattered showers and thunderstorms over the region through Thursday.

Some of the storms may become strong to severe late Wednesday with the main threats being damaging winds, large hail and locally heavy rainfall leading to some flooding.

Early Voting Numbers In Tennessee Up Over 19,000 For 4 Days

Early voting numbers in Tennessee are up over 19,000 after four days. Hamilton County up 1,974 -helped with the increase. There were 3,949 after four days in August 2010, and 5,923 currently.
