GPS Graduate Taylor Pels Receives Sheehan Scholarship

Taylor Pels, a 2014 graduate of Girls Preparatory School, is one of six entering freshmen at the College of the Holy Cross to receive the full four-year tuition Sheehan Scholarship to attend the Worcester, Mass., school.  

According to Rev. Earle L. Markey, S.J., who oversees the program and personally called Ms. Pels to give her the news, “Sheehan Scholars exemplify the rigorous intellectual pursuit that characterizes a Holy Cross education.”

A National Merit Commended student at GPS, she was a member of the National Honor Society, the Curie Society, GPS Ambassadors, and a member of Cum Laude.
She was co-editor in chief of the yearbook, a member of Science Olympiad, and a varsity cheerleader.
