Planning Commission Recommends Approval For Assisted Living At Grubb Road, Highway 153

  • Monday, June 9, 2014

The Planning Commission has recommended approval for an assisted living facility in Hixson at Grubb Road and Highway 153.

Rick Stern of Ooltewah said Regency Senior Living has some 10 projects across the Southeast, but wanted to build one closer to home.

He said, "There is a great opportunity in Hixson for assisted living and memory care."

The facility will have 80-100 employees.

There will be up to 120 apartments.

Officials said there was an attempt to develop the site, but it went back to the bank.
