Taylor's Championship Rodeo Set For Aug. 8-9

The SRA/IPRA -sanctioned Championship Rodeo will be held Friday and Saturday, Aug. 8-9, at Taylors Ruritan Club Arena, off Highway 64.

The 34th annual Taylors rodeo will feature a professional rodeo announcer, pro rodeo clown and barrel man. There will also be pony rides, vendors and a mechanical bull.

Tickets are $12 for adults, $7 for children ages 7 to 12 and free for ages 6 and under.  

Taylors Ruritan Club Arena is at 221 Old Kinser Road.

Chickamauga Chapter Has 4 First Place Wins In DAR Heritage Contest

The Chickamauga Chapter, National Society Daughters of the American Revolution had four first-place wins in the Tennessee State, NSDAR Division of the annual NSDAR American Heritage contest. Special Equipment Used To Pinpoint Fire Inside WRCB TV Transmitter On Walden's Ridge

Special equipment was used to locate a fire inside a WRCB TV transmitter on Walden's Ridge on Tuesday morning. At 6 a.m ,, an automatic fire alarm notified the 911 Center of a possible fire at 2306 Fairmount Pike. Fire Destroys Commercial Building On Dodson Avenue
