Kenneth Gary “Ken” Galloway, 70, of Hixson died peacefully on Saturday, July 26, 2014.
A native of Sunbright, Tennessee, he was the son of the late Kenneth and Thelma Galloway.
Mr. Galloway was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Following his honorable discharge, he worked at the Y-12 Plant in Oak Ridge for six years. He spent the next 25 years with the Tennessee Valley Authority before his retirement. He reentered the work field spending 12 years with Coastal Transport. He worked with Bechtel, and most recently, Sun Technical, as a contractor at Watts Bar Nuclear Plant.
Mr. Galloway was of the Baptist faith.
Survivors include his wife, Martha “Janie” Galloway; son, Kenneth A. Galloway and his wife, Karen, of Hixson; daughter, Ginger G. Galloway of Cleveland; and a sister, Sue Galloway Strike of Knoxville.
A gathering to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, July 29, from 7-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
