Robbie Burton
Robbie Davis Burton, 80, of Signal Mountain, died on Monday, August 18, 2014.
She had moved here from Memphis 10 years ago, where she graduated from Humes High School, worked for International Harvester and UT Memphis, was active in church as choir member and played the organ and piano. She was a member of Signal Mountain Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir. She was a loving wife, mother and “Nana” to her 11 grandchildren whom she adored.
She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Bob Burton; children, Mark (Vicki) Burton of Marion, N.C.; Mike (Sherry) Burton of White Bluff, Tn.; and Judy (Hal) Gault of Signal Mountain; grandchildren, Luke, Catherine and Eric Burton, Hannah, Abby, Drew, Lydia and Noah Burton, Sam, Ruthie and Henry Gault; sister, Jane Abel; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 20, at Lane Funeral Home, Ashland Terrace with Dr. David Myers officiating, and burial in National Cemetery.
