28th Annual Choo Choo Volleyball Classic Begins Friday

The 28th Annual Choo Choo Classic volleyball tournament will take place on Friday and Saturday at Ooltewah and Red Bank. 

32 teams will play for a both a championship trophy and a consolation trophy. 

The Championship bracket tournament will be played at Ooltewah on Saturday and the consolation bracket tournament will be played at Red Bank.

#8 Tennessee Punches 7th Ticket To Women's College World Series

 It is on to the semi-final round of the NCCAA World Series for the Lee University baseball team. The Flames defeated Oakland City (Ind.) 6-0 early on Thursday and then returned for a convincing late-night victory over Oklahoma Christian, 13-3. City Applying For Federal Grant To Extend River Trail To Moccasin Bend In $2.23 Million Project

The city is applying for a $1.6 million federal grant that would be a key part of the funding needed to extend a trail by the Tennessee River from Renaissance Park to Moccasin Bend.
