Robert “Bob”A. Roach, 76, of Harrison, Tennessee, died on Thursday, September 18, 2014, in a local hospital.
He was the son of the late George and Viola Roach.
Bob was a veteran of the United States Air Force and served in the hospital squadron at Langley Air Force Base. He was involved in performing lab work on the first astronauts sent into space. He was a member of the American Legion Post #257.
He worked many years in medical sales and later retired as a real estate agent.
He was a member of McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Mary L. Roach, of Harrison, three children, Kipling “Kip”(RaLonda) Roach, of Yucaipa, Ca., Bob (Karen) Roach, Jr., of Medford, Or., Susan (Tim) Glantz, of Ooltewah, eight grandchildren, Chadwick Roach, Malcolm Roach, Ethan (Brea) Roach, Kalli (Caleb) Fjarli, Robert Jeremiah Roach, Jachin Roach, Ryan Glantz, Allison Glantz, brother, George (Joan) Roach, of Booneville, Ar., and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at noon on Friday, Sept. 26, at the McDonald Road Seventh-day Adventist Church with Pastor Don Gettys and Pastor Fred Fuller officiating. Interment will follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with military rites being conducted.
The family will receive friends from 6–8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Adventist World Radio or Maranatha Volunteers International.
