Clarence A. Clifton, 83, of Lookout Valley, died on Monday, September 22, 2014.

Mr. Clifton was born in DeKalb County, Al. He was a member of Lookout Valley Church of the Nazarene where he served as a longtime teacher of the Adult Sunday School Class. He retired from Combustion Engineering and Brach Candy Company as an electrician, was an avid golfer, and Korean War veteran. 

Surviving are his wife of 62 years, Ivey Clifton; daughters, Rebecca Ann DeBord and Debi Clifton Crabtree; grandsons, Robert A. Crabtree and Ryan A. Crabtree; sisters, Ola Thomas  and Odell Culver; extended family members Stan DeBord, Jack Hale, Kelsey Stevenson, Patsy Seaton and her son, Will, and special friends Judy and Tim Spence.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. on Thursday, Sept. 25, at the funeral home.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 26, at Lookout Valley Church of the Nazarene with Reverend Joshua Fite officiating. 

Visitation before the service will be from 10-11 a.m. at the church.

Burial will follow at Lakewood Memory Gardens West with military honors.

Memorial donations may be made to Lookout Valley Church of the Nazarene, 136 South Aster Ave., Chattanooga, Tn. 37419.

Arrangements are by the East Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory, and Florist, 404 South Moore Road.
