The Collegedale Commission discussed the possibility of getting body cameras and microphones for all police officers during their meeting Tuesday evening.
Commissioner Ethan White said, "The officers want them. They're not trying to hide anything and they want them for their own protection as well."
City manager Ted Rogers announced after giving the finance report that, "Our revenues look outstanding."
He said for the month so far, revenues are at $1.6 million.
The city's contingency fund is currently slightly over $3 million.
It was announced that the Imagination Station, the community playground behind city hall, would be finished with construction early in May.
Commissioner Debbie Baker suggested planning a grand opening celebration. She also suggested inviting Miss Wheelchair Tennessee Skylar Vaughn-Hisey.
During the reports from each commissioner, Commissioner White said small businesses are doing well in Collegedale, particularly the newest, Shaffer's European Bakery.
He said, "It's the best bread in the area by far. He's always selling out every day."
