Wish They've Asked For Public Opinion On New Neighborhood Market

  • Wednesday, January 21, 2015

After reading the comments about the new market in our area, I totally agree with the nay sayers – I object.  Oh, wait a minute, votes are in, yellow zoning signs are up and little flag markers up, getting ready to break ground.

I am curious as to how it would have been an inconvenience to  notify citizens in this area by mail to allow everyone to express their concerns appropriately?  I can’t locate a neighbor that knew anything about our new addition or a meeting at Middle Valley Church of God that is within walking distance from my home, however not as close as my new Neighborhood Walmart will be.

Is there a reason that the meeting could not have been posted on the Middle Valley Church of God sign?  Could the Commissioner’s office not have notified us by mail?

We do not need this added congestion to this area or another food market of any type and most of us complaining understand it's a done deal.  Sure would have been nice to been asked.
