9 Apply For Opening On Tennessee Supreme Court

The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will consider nine applicants when it meets Oct. 27, in Nashville to select nominees for the Tennessee Supreme Court vacancy.

The vacancy was created by the retirement of Justice Gary R. Wade on Sept. 8.

The applicants are:

Thomas Radcliffe Frierson
Morristown

Mark A. Fulks
Johnson City

Ted M. Hayden
Gallatin

Robert David Meyers
Memphis

Herbert S. Moncier
Knoxville

Robert H. Montgomery, Jr.
Kingsport

Roger Amos Page
Medina

Larry Scroggs 
Germantown
 

The Governor’s Council for Judicial Appointments will interview the applicants on Oct. 27, at Legislative Plaza, 301 6th Ave. N, Nashville, Tn. 37243. The meeting will include a public hearing at 9 a.m., during which anyone may express their opinions in opposition to the applicants. The interview and public hearing will be open to the public.

The council is expected to make their selections immediately following the interviews and forward the names to Governor Bill Haslam for his consideration.
