The Georgia Northwestern Lady Bobcats held their annual Pink Game for Breast Cancer Awareness on Saturday as nearby Bryan College (JV) and Welch College of Nashville, Tenn. faced off in a tri-match at the Rossville Athletic Center.

Georgia Northwestern faced off with the Lady Lions of Bryan to begin the day, dropping the opening set by a 25-15 count. In the second set, Bryan jumped out to a 6-1 lead, but the Lady Bobcats fought back to pull within a point at 14-13. However, the Lady Lions would reel off five straight points to take control and score a 25-18 victory to clinch the match.

Abbey Hannah had four hits, three assists and two digs in the match.
Madison Killen had four digs and three assists to go with one hit. Gabrille Pace had four hits, three digs and one assist. Alysa Daniel collected five digs and three assists, while Sarah Dorsey recorded three hits, two digs and one assist.

The final battle of the afternoon saw the home team take on the Lady Flames of Welch. Welch dominated the first set, 25-9, but Georgia Northwestern began to find its stride in the second set. They surrendered an early 8-5 lead and trailed 19-17 in the late stages of the match. But the visitors would end the match on a 6-2 to clinch the win.

Pace had three hits, four digs, a block and an assist in the match. Dorsey finished with three hits, a block, a dig and an assist. Hannah added four digs, three assists and two hits. Killen added four assists, three digs and a hit, while Daniel had one ace and one assist.

"We really did some good things at times today, but we're still on that roller coaster," head coach Carrie Powell said. "It was like we would get a kill and then miss a serve. It seems like there is always something and we just can't make it all click. We talked really well and passed the ball well. We didn't do anything really horrible the entire day, but there were a few times today when we didn't do things like we needed to."

Georgia Northwestern (0-11) will welcome the Covenant College JV squad to the RAC on Monday night, starting at 7 p.m.
