This fall, Oprah Winfrey presents the television event Belief, a week-long documentary series airing over seven consecutive nights that depicts how people with a wide range of beliefs search for deeper meaning and connection with the world around them.

Gandhi's Be Magazine and Gandhi Global Center for Peace will join OWN's Belief Team to host the local Chattanooga screenings of the world premiere of the Belief Series beginning with three opportunities the week of Oct. 18-24 for watching the series and joining in a local conversation and interfaith dialogue based on each episode.

The local opening night screening of OWN's Belief episode 1 will be on Sunday, Oct. 18, at 7 p.m. with an interfaith dialogue and the screening at 8 p.m. The event follows the Sunday evening service and potluck, which begin at 5 p.m. at Mercy Junction Peace and Justice Center, at St. Andrews Center in Highland Park, 1918 Union Ave.

There will also be a local final night screening of OWN's Belief episode 7 on Saturday, Oct. 24, at 7 p.m. with an interfaith dialogue and 8 p.m. screening at Toes Yoga "Om Room,"3228 Brainerd Road.

Gandhi's Be Magazine Editor-in-Chief Missy Crutchfield said, "It is an honor to have been invited by OWN's Belief Team and our partner Sister Jenna with America Meditating Radio in Washington, D.C. to help build awareness and dialogue surrounding the premiere of Oprah's Belief Series. We are witnessing a shift in the world today as people wake up to a greater sense of purpose, connection to others, and a sense of responsibility to our planet and all of its inhabitants. The time is now to make a change and the timing could not be better. We must learn to get along with each other, respect each other's cultures and beliefs. Fortunately, the world is awakening to the truth that we are all interconnected and we must now learn to coexist together for the good of all, not just some."

Beth Foster, co-director of Mercy Junction Peace and Justice Center said, "Hosting a discussion and viewing as part of the Belief series is a great opportunity for Mercy Junction to continue and expand our ongoing conversations at the Justice and Peace Center, where we seek to express our own faith and understand the faith of others through action toward social change."

Kim Eisdorfer, owner of Toes Yoga said, "I am looking forward to this opportunity for Toes Yoga to host the Oprah Winfrey's Belief Series final screening night. Toes Yoga opened two years ago this November and this event gives us an opportunity to share more broadly our vision for this space and for the community. We want to be the place where people can gather for yoga, exercise, meditation, and contemplation. We are also planning to expand and create a neutral space for community forums like what we will be offering with the Belief Series screening in our newly renovated "Om Room," and we are hoping to have community input on future classes and events we can host in this new space as well."
