The name for the new elementary school replacing Ganns-Middle Valley Elementary will be Middle Valley Elementary, school board member Greg Martin said.
The new school, that is now under construction to the rear of the current school, will also cover students from the present Falling Water Elementary, an ancient school that will close.
Dr. Martin said the name Falling Water, Ganns Middle Valley School was too much.
He said it was decided to simplify it, noting the location is in Middle Valley.
He said there will be time for public input on the naming prior to action by the school board next Thursday night.
