Two people sought in connection with a Chattanooga murder have been taken into custody in Gordon County, Ga.

Peyton Hogan, 21, was shot and killed in Brainerd Hills early Friday morning. The victim was found on the ground with a gunshot wound to the left side of his chest. He was taken to Erlanger Hospital, where he later died.

The incident happened in the 400 block of Frazier Drive just before 4 a.m.

Later Friday, Gordon County deputies answered a domestic disturbance call at a residence in Resaca. Deputies found a 15-year-old girl who had been reported as a runaway from Chattanooga, the Coosa Valley News said.

Also at the home deputies arrested Joshua A. Santana, 18, Quincy Lenail Goodine, 19, of Soddy Daisy, and Shaina Hughes, 18, of Resaca.

Charges of hindering officers were filed against Santana and Goodine.

Deputies later learned that Goodine and Ms. Hughes were being sought for the Brainerd Hills murder.

Detectives from Chattanooga went to Gordon County and spent several hours interviewing the suspects, it was stated.

A search warrant was later executed at a residence in Resaca in connection with the Chattanooga murder.

All three remain in custody in the Gordon County Jail.

Goodine was charged earlier this year with contributing to the delinquency of a minor.

He was charged with robbery in August and with criminal trespass and evading arrest in October.
