An investigation by special agents with the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation has resulted in the indictment and arrest of a Ten Mile man who faces multiple charges, including aggravated sexual battery and solicitation of a minor.

At the request of 9th District Attorney General Russell Johnson, TBI special agents and deputies with the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office began investigating Richard Morris Feaster, Jr., on June 25, on allegations of sexual battery. During the course of the investigation, agents developed information that Feaster had sexually assaulted the teenage victim from October 2006 through May 2015. Feaster was previously arrested by TBI agents in July for failing to register as a sex offender.

On Monday, the Meigs County Grand Jury returned indictments charging Feaster, 56, with two counts of aggravated sexual battery, three counts of solicitation of a minor, two counts of aggravated statutory rape and one count of attempted solicitation of sexual exploitation of a minor. Feaster was arrested on Tuesday without incident at his home by a TBI special agent and deputies with the Meigs County Sheriff’s Office.

He was booked into the Meigs County Jail, where he is being held on a $120,000 bond.
