Robert Daniel Thompson, 93, of Hixson, Tennessee, died on Wednesday, November 25, 2015.
Dan was a member of Rivermont Presbyterian Church. He worked until he retired with General Motors and he owned Realty Company with Paul Fitzgerald until he retired at the age of 72.
Dan was preceded in death by his wife, Gloria E. Thompson; son, Daniel Thompson.
Dan is survived by his daughter, Connie (Thad) Mason; grandchildren, Katie (Phillip) Hamby and Nick Mason; great grandchildren, Maggie and Jonah Hamby, Halee and Eli Mason.
Services for Dan will be conducted at 6 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 27, in the chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home-North Chapel with Reverend Diana Stocker and Reverend Jennie Barber officiating.
The family will receive friends on Friday, Nov. 27, from 12-6 p.m. at the funeral home.
Burial at Hamilton Memorial Gardens on Sunday, Nov. 29, at 2 p.m.
