Three people have been arrested after a man said he was lured to an apartment in Brainerd by a woman on Facebook, then he was attacked by two men armed with a machete.

Kaitlin Small, 24, Kendall Small, 20, and Brandon Grimes, 27, are charged with aggravated robbery in the incident on Monday. Grimes is also charged with vandalism.

Jerry Daniel, 23, of Harrison, said when he arrived at 614 Gillespie Road that Ms. Small hugged him and patted him down, while asking if he had a gun on him.

He said two black males then appeared "from nowhere" and chased him down. He said he got into his 2011 Volkswagen Jetta to try to get away, but one of the men started smashing his car windows with a machete. All four door windows were damaged.

Mr. Daniel said he tried to get out and run, but the man with the machete stopped him. He was told to hand over his money. Then he was punched in the face.

He said the second man began ransacking his vehicle. A camera and an IPhone were taken.

Police said Mr. Daniel had visible injuries to his face.

The step-father of Ms. Small said she could be found down the road with her boyfriend, Grimes.

Police found a machete hidden behind a  wall inside a basement area at Grimes' residence.

There were broken wooden pieces in the roadway near where glass was broken on the Daniel vehicle.

Police said Ms. Small admitted to setting up the robbery and asked Grimes and her step-brother to scare Mr. Daniels. She said she wanted him to leave her alone.

Grimes admitted to using the machete on the vehicle and punching the vehicle. He said he did it to scare him into leaving Ms. Small alone.
