Chattanooga Police have arrested Kerry McKinney, 28, in connection with a shooting on Ohls Avenue last Thursday.

McKinney, of 1004 W. 37th St., is charged with attempted first-degree murder, especially aggravated robbery and unlawful possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony.

Richard Lovingood, 25, was rushed into surgery after he was shot twice. He made it through the surgery and is recovering.

He said he was walking out of 4312 Ohls Ave. when a silver vehicle pulled up and a man ordered, "Give me all you got."

He said the man began shooting him when he told him he did not have anything. He fell to the ground after being struck by gunfire.

He said the gunman got out of the vehicle and continued to fire in his direction after he was down.

Police said McKinney was "positively identified" as the suspect in the case.
