Frigid Air Now, Possible Snow Later In Chattanooga Forecast

Frigid area over the next few days may be followed by snow at the first of the week, according to the forecast for Chattanooga.

Wind chill temperatures may drop to the single digits due to an Artic blast.

Sunny skies are set to give way to clouds and a wave of moisture at the first of the week.

The amount of snow expected will be dependent on temperatures staying around the freezing point.

Here is the upcoming forecast:

  • Tonight Partly cloudy, with a low around 21.
    North wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 20 mph.
  • Friday Partly sunny, with a high near 40. North wind around 5 mph becoming west in the afternoon.
  • Friday Night Mostly clear, with a low around 26. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.
  • Saturday Mostly sunny, with a high near 53. Light southwest wind becoming west 10 to 15 mph in the morning. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
  • Saturday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 16. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph becoming north after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 20 mph.
  • Sunday Sunny, with a high near 29.
  • Sunday Night Partly cloudy, with a low around 19.
  • Washington's Birthday A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 38. Chance of precipitation is 50%.
  • Monday Night Rain and snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 34. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
  • Tuesday Rain and snow. High near 44. Chance of precipitation is 80%.
  • Tuesday Night Rain and snow likely. Cloudy, with a low around 28. Chance of precipitation is 70%.
  • Wednesday A chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Chance of precipitation is 30%.
